This classic aluminum sloop of 6.5 meters offers a solid foundation for relaxing trips on inland waters, canals, ditches, lakes, ponds, and rivers. The sloop has a rich history and originates from Sweden, where it was used as a workboat for a sawmill on an island. Since 2006, this boat has been sailing in the Netherlands and has been used for pleasure cruising and day trips.

Dimensions and Construction

The sloop has a length of 6.50 meters, a width of 2.20 meters, and a draft of 1.00 meter. The clearance height is 1.35 meters, making the boat suitable for various waterways. The hull is made of riveted aluminum and has a chine hull shape, providing stability and strength. Steering is done via a tiller on the outside, and the sloop is equipped with a single rudder. With a weight of 1500 kg, this boat offers a solid sailing experience.

Engine and Technology

The classic aluminum sloop is powered by a Perkins 4.107 inboard diesel engine with a power of 47 hp and four cylinders. The engine is electrically started and runs on diesel fuel. The available 12v battery has a capacity of 50ah. For extra safety and convenience, the boat is equipped with an electric bilge pump.

Maintenance and Recent Improvements

In 2023, the sloop was taken out of the water for maintenance. During this maintenance session, the underside was treated with primer and antifouling, and new magnesium anodes were placed on the rudder and keel. This keeps the hull better protected against the effects of water.

Equipment and Extras

The equipment of this sloop includes an anchor with a line for easy mooring and an electric bilge pump for water management. There is no bow thruster or anchor winch present, and a dinghy or trailer is not included.
